New Year manifesto

Most of the time I just get frustrated by New Year's resolutions.  It is really for my lack of follow through, if I'm being perfectly honest.  This year I was inspired by Ann Voskamp's post, though, and decided to jump in and try my own.  I loved hers, but customized my own using some of her ideas, quotes that inspire me, and some of my own ideas.  The printable is here for you, if desired, or maybe it will serve as inspiration to create your own.

The space at the bottom above the quote from Ann Voskamp, "what a heart knows by heart is what a heart knows" is where I am posting memory verses. I've framed it by my door as a consistent reminder of how I want to live.

I've also created this printable for my fridge to post my weekly menu (which helped substantially in grocery shopping and staying on budget this week) as well as has room to write any things I really want done.  I put a sticky notepad on my {to do} spot so I can change it daily without needing to print more.

Again, following in Ann's footsteps, I loved the idea of WORD IN, WORK OUT and WORK PLAN.  From these ideas, I derived my specific resolutions for the year.

For WORD IN, I am reading the Bible following the Book of Common Prayer plan on the You Version app (I like that it has the option to let it read aloud to me).

For WORK OUT, my goals are to do either a 5-4-3-2-1 workout where you do 5 minutes of one exercise, then 4 of another, and so on....or go for a walk.  In addition to those exercise plans, I will add stretching every day.

For WORK PLAN, I am spending a few minutes each morning to look over the day's schedule and add extras to the to do list.

So there you have it, resolutions I think I might just be able to stick to.
